Four puppies suffered similar symptoms and two of them (arrows) were available for genetic studies. All five mutation carriers that were identified by screening of 95 healthy Finnish Lapphunds could be traced back to the same pedigree. The GAA c.2237G>A genotypes of the studied dogs are shown below the gender symbol.
