TCR activation promotes two phases of T cell adhesion.

(A) Jurkat E6.1 were stained and incubated on an anti-TCR coated RIA/EIA plate for various times. The intensity of the membrane dye was measured to determine the relative number of cells that bound to each well. A representative plate is shown (left panel). The data were quantified and the average intensity of triplicate wells ± SD is shown graphically (right panel). The data are representative of three independent experiments. (B) Jurkat E6.1 cells and hAPBTs were stained and stimulated with various doses of immobilized anti-TCR for 30 minutes (left panel). Adhesion was measured and the average intensity of triplicate wells ± SD was graphed (right panel).
