Pathological changes in cynomolgus monkeys after laser-photocoagulation.

Glaucoma stages were classified by histological changes based on the extent of axonal loss as mild (0–20%), moderate (20–50%), and advanced glaucoma (50–100%). Neuronal atrophy, RGC loss and immunoreactivity were classified based on the quantitative data as follows: no changes; −, mild; +, moderate; ++, robust; +++.
