Model 1: adjusted for age, sex, education levels. Physical activity subtypes were treated as bivariate and nonexercisers in the subtype were set as reference group.

Model 2: additionally adjusted for smoking, alcohol drinking, use of antihypertension drugs, aspirin, glucose lowering drugs and lipid-lowering drugs, family history of CVD, stroke and diabetes mellitus, and meat intake quintile, fruit and vegetable intake quintile, and consumption of nuts quintile.
