(A) Levels the hfqEc mRNA and the MtvR transcript in cells of the E. coli WT or the E. coli Δhfq mutant, expressing (+pMtvR) or not the sRNA. (B) Stability of the hfqEc mRNA (left panel) in cells expressing (+pMtvR) or not MtvR, and of the MtvR transcript (right panel) in cells of the WT or Δhfq mutant, expressing MtvR (+pMtvR). (C) Levels of the hfqPa mRNA and the MtvR transcript in cells of the P. aeruginosa WT or WT with the hfq gene silenced (hfqsil), expressing (+pMtvR) or not MtvR. (D) Analysis of the stability of the P. aeruginosa hfqPa mRNA and of the MtvR transcript, in cells of the P. aeruginosa strains WT or the WT with the hfq gene silenced (hfqsil), expressing (+pMtvR) or not MtvR. The levels of the 5S rRNA were used as loading control.
