Links between C/ebpα and Clock gene expressions.

An interactive feedback loop between C/ebpα and the core clock genes feedback loop is indicated. The core clock genes feedback loop is enclosed in an oval. Transcriptional activators CLOCK and BMAL1 drive Per2 and C/ebpα gene expression. Per and CRY proteins inhibit CLOCK/BMAL1 activity. Thick line denotes regulation based on present findings.
