(A) Growth properties of wild-type (WT) HAP5 yeast strains MSS1(P^S), mss1(P^S), MSS1(P^R), mss1(P^R) and their individual HAP5 overexpression (OE) strains. (B) Growth properties of WT HAP5 yeast strains MSS1(P^S), mss1(P^S), MSS1(P^R) and their individual HAP5 knockout (KO) strains. Series dilutions of the yeast strains were spotted on YPD plates in the absence (−) or presence (+) of 300 µg/ml neomycin and incubated at 30°C. The experiment was performed three times with similar results. (C) The yeast cells were cultured in 30 µg/ml neomycin-supplemented YPD medium for 16 h and the cell density was determined.
