Fixed Point Loci When the Activities are Proportional

The locus depends on the parameter ratio ρ. When ρ < 1 fixed points are located in the lower half of the plane ( ) and vice versa. We can infer from the assumptions in Equations 5 and 6 that as fixed points approach the lower-right corner of the phase plane, activity increases. Thus, decreasing ρ changes the overall behavior from a depressing to a facilitating one.
