(A) HAV IRES activities of COS7 cells stably expressing pSV40-HAV-IRES (COS7-HAV IRES cells). 0.5×105 cells were seeded, cell lysates were collected 24 h later, and luciferase assay was performed for determination of HAV IRES activities. (B) Effect of AG490 on HAV IRES activity in COS7-HAV IRES cells. (C) Effect of SD-1029 on HAV IRES activity in COS7-HAV IRES cells. The cells were cultured with AG490 or SD-1029 at the concentrations indicated, and reporter assay was performed after 24 h of treatment. Activities of HAV IRES were calculated as previously described [17], [21]. Data are expressed as mean ± SD. *P<0.05.
