The green curve shows the distribution of score differences for the cases in which SPA had a higher mapping score. The red curve shows the distribution of score differences for mappings where post-processed BLAT had a higher alignment score. Solid lines were obtained using SPA's scoring function and dashed lines using the scoring function that maximizes the posterior probability of BLAT's mappings. Both axes are shown on logarithmic scales.
