Cement sample splitting tensile test setup.

This image shows the cylindrical test specimen located within the splitting tensile test apparatus. A compressive load is applied by the linear actuator and loads applied to the sample are measured with a load cell. A high resolution camera is used to measure the displacement and strain that occurs to the flat face of the cylindrical test sample.
