Accelerated cardiac and body weight gain in postnatal KO as compared to WT mice resulting in a significantly reduced heart to body weight ratio of neonatal and adolescent KO mice. In contrast, the heart to body weight ratio of adult eight week-old KO mice is significantly increased. * P<0.001 vs. WT (n = 43–233/36–210). Data are shown as mean ± SEM.
