What We Have Learned About Using Software Engineering Practices in Computational Science and Engineering

The uniqueness of the computational science & engineering (CSE) domain requires carefully selected and tailored software engineering (SE) solutions that account for the salient characteristics CSE software development. This presentation will discuss the findings from a series of case studies of CSE projects, the results of a community-wide survey, and the outcomes of an ongoing workshop series. In addition, the presentation will briefly illustrate two successful interactions between SE and CSE.
