Web of Science as Research Data Set

Reports on experience with using the data set for bibliometrics and research evaluation, focussing on two issues 1) Hybrid techniques, i.e., combining different kind of information extracted from or mined in the WoS database (e.g., citation links with textual information) mainly used for clustering, community detection, network analysis and enhanced information retrieval and 2) combining WoS-sourced information with external sources to gain supplementary information and/or to improve correctness and reliability of data (matching with CVs, data extracted from specialised databases, geolocation etc.).
