Simulated temporal dynamics of spatial soliton formation from t=0 s (switching time of the input) to t=1 s. The intensity on the plane yz is plotted (an effective bidimensional model is used). Input power is 3 mW, wavelength is 1064 nm, input beam size is 2 microns, and the cell size in the propagation direction is 1 mm. Initial director angle is 45 degrees, whereas hard boundary conditions on the cell boundaries are applied.
