Use of a Clinical Evidence Technology for Skin Disease in Primary Care: Clinician Interviews
dataset
posted on 2020-03-11, 21:56 authored by Marianne BurkeMarianne Burke, Liliane Savard, Alan Rubin, Benjamin LittenbergThese are transcripts of semi-structured interviews of 11 Primary Care Providers (PCPs) in the group that used VisualDx, a clinical evidence technology, in a clinical trial. Data collection took place 2018-02-01 to 2018-03-31 at the University of Vermont Medical Center. Data were collected in the context of follow-up research on providers who participated in a previous cluster-randomized controlled clinical trial that evaluated the impact or effect of a clinical evidence technology,VisualDx, on the outcomes of patients seen in primary care for a skin problem.
The follow-up research included a quantitative survey of primary care providers PCPs) who participated in the original trial and semi-structured interviews with those PCPs in the intervention group that used the clinical evidence technology (CET). Data from interviews were digitally recorded. Voice data were transcribed and saved as Word files. Transcripts were de-identified, appended, and saved as a text file (,txt) for this deposit.
The results are reported in "Barriers and Facilitators to Use of a Clinical Evidence Technology in the Management of Skin Problems in Primary Care: Insights from Mixed Methods" Jour Med Lib Assoc July 2020
