Effect size (± SE) of the nestlings stage (HAT, NES and FLE) at which ECEs occur on the number of fledglings. STAGE TmH, STAGE TmC and STAGE R refer to the nestling stage at which an extreme hot day, an extreme cold day and a heavy rainfall occur respectively. Note that these variables potentially take 7 modalities since some ECEs occur at several nestling stages (e.g an ECE occurring during the HAT and the FLE stage is implemented as "HAT-FLE"). Hence, estimates refer to the effect of each modality on the number of fledglings per nest. In bold the nestling stages affecting significantly the number of fledglings.
