Cell morphology in the stentable in vitro artery. (a) Endothelial cells (ECs) on the lumen of the in vitro artery form a monolayer with a complex, interconnected actin network. (b) Smooth muscle cells (SMCs) within the collagen hydrogel adhere to collagen fibers and exhibit elongated actin structures. Cell nuclei are shown in blue (DAPI) while actin is shown in red (phalloidin). Scale bars are 50 µm.
