This document contains a tailored ontology that encompassed the complexity of the maps (pinturas) of the Relaciones Geográficas de la Nueva España (1577-1585), resulting in twenty-one entities or categories (types of information). These entities were defined and linked to DBpedia, a semantic standard, to ensure the interoperability of our dataset.
