BLASTN search of full-length cDNAs against chicken transcripts predicted by Ensembl. Note that only 494 cDNAs are identical or nearly identical with predicted transcripts. Therefore, the remaining 1,777 experimentally determined full-length cDNAs may be used to improve the gene annotation of chicken genomic DNA. BLASTP searches of annotated ORFs against the UniProt database of protein sequences.
