<p>A: IFP remains relatively flat within the cancer mass, while the predicted value agrees very well with reported in-vivo data on MCaIV murine mammary carcinomas [<a href="http://www.ploscompbiol.org/article/info:doi/10.1371/journal.pcbi.1005259#pcbi.1005259.ref057" target="_blank">57</a>]. Pronounced tumour growth results in an increase in the IFP in the peri-tumoural area, up to approximately 1.5 mm-Hg. B: THP peaks at the tumour periphery, symptomatic of increased compressive solid stresses due to the cancer mass growth in this region.
