The data contained in these files are responses to music collected over multiple listening sessions from four individual participants, Repeated Response Case Studies. They were collected in 2015 by Finn Upham at New York University as part of their PhD dissertation research in Music Technology. The data here shared is made public with the consent of participant.
During twelve sessions over six weeks, each participant listened to eleven musical stimuli (totally ~35 minutes) presented in random order via headphones in a sound insulated room. The responses of the participant were measured continuously with psychophysiological sensors during all sessions and continuous ratings of felt emotion (Valence x Arousal) during some session. Participants also reported their impressions and bodily events to each stimulus in a short post stimulus questionnaire.
