Range Gated System for Three Dimensional (3D) Object Modelling

The objective is to improve the range modelling and system performance through the fundamental study of the influence factors on 3D range gated reconstruction. This study proposes a novel range estimation model to address the effects caused by the influence factors to accomplish accurate reconstruction. These include the distance, target reflection, illumination, and noise factor. A comprehensive 3D range gated reconstruction framework comprising the system enhancement and post-processing is also proposed to provide optimised solution.
