Cumulative density and box plots represent individual vocal features for all signals emitted by either males (blue) or females (orange). Analyses combined data from each recorded dyadic interaction. For box plots, the vertical black line indicates the median value. The left and right edge of each box represents the 25th and 75th percentile, respectively. The vocal features examined were bandwidth (A), duration (B), high frequency (C), low frequency (D), mean frequency (E), slope (F), and amplitude (G). Statistical analyses were conducted using Mann-Whitney U-tests. * = p < 0.05, ** = p < 0.01.
