<p>At 0, 12, and 18 hours post <i>S</i>. <i>pyogenes</i> infection the mice were sacrificed and the liver was harvested, fixed and embedded in paraffin blocks, sectioned and immunohistochemistry was performed with anti CD41 to detect platelets.
