PERFORMANCE OF CONCRETE-FILLED DOUBLE-SKIN TUBULAR (CFDST) SECTIONS CONSISTING OF CORRUGATED PLATES AND ULTRA-HIGH STRENGTH CORNER TUBES

thesis
posted on 2018-03-13, 22:20 authored by MOJTABA FARAHI
The focus of this research is mainly on the structural behaviour of two innovative section types of concrete-filled double skin tubular (CFDT) sections. In the first type of CFDSTs studied in this research, the inner or outer skin of these sections is built up from the corrugated plates. The second type of innovative CFDST sections studied in this research contains corner tubes. The structural behaviour of various short columns and large-scale beam-columns with the aforementioned sections is experimentally and numerically examined under different loading scenarios.
