The
data in this workbook are the deidentified data from the inaugural Australian
Postdoctoral Reference Survey conducted by the Australian Early- and
Mid-Career Researcher Forum, a study led by Dr Maggie Hardy (on Twitter:
@DrMaggieHardy).
The data in the following sheets are reported by number and
self-identified gender of the respondents, as well as the percent of
respondents for each gender normalized to the total number of respondents of
that gender (so if 50 men total responded to a question, 100% = 50
individuals and a response of 50% = 25 individuals). Questions are in italics, and answer choices are in bold. Respondents were asked to
select one response that best describes their answer, except where otherwise
noted. Where respondents were able to select more than one option, the
percent normalized by gender is not reported for that question.
If
you use this data or derive information from the data in a publication,
conference presentation, white paper or other output, please cite the
original paper by Hardy et al. published in Palgrave
Communications (2016). |
