Misfolding of EC2.

Lysates from HeLa cells transfected with cDNAs (B) as in Fig 1 were extracted with α-His mAb by IP to recover CDHR3 materials. (A) The recovered protein was refold (+) or not (-) according to the refolding protocol in Methods, then reacted with C15 virus. Immunoprecipitation and protein detection were with α-His mAb. Binding % for each protein pair is relative to the pixel count (Total Lab 100) of observed C15 signals normalized to the α-His protein levels (bold face).
