(A) HeLa cells were transfected with plasmids encoding GFP-P and N-Myc for 24 h, then transfected with RNA from HPIV3-infected MK2 cells for another 12 h. Cells were harvested, and HPIV3 +vRNA (red) was detected via RNA-FISH. The white scale bar corresponds to 10 μm. (B and C) HeLa cells were transfected with an empty plasmid or co-transfected with plasmids encoding GFP-P and N-Myc for 24 h, then transfected with RNA from HPIV3-infected MK2 cells for another 12 h. (B) Cells were immunostained for G3BP (red). Nuclei were stained with DAPI (blue). The white scale bar corresponds to 10 μm. (C) The percentage of cells containing SGs was quantified in three independent experiments. Data are represented as means ±SD.
