Feeling and thinking about studio practices: Exploring dissonance in semi-structured interviews with students in higher education music

This interview study investigates the difficulties demonstrated by undergraduate music students when they try to discuss issues arising in their studio lessons. The markers 'feel' and 'think' are used to modify their remarks, and 'feel' is often a cue for introducing issues that are affective, or that seem out of order.
