Equity and the Ambition Ratchet: Towards a Meaningful 2018 Facilitative Dialogue

This equity review of NDCs was undertaken by a broad and diverse coalition of civil society organizations, social movements and NGOs to assess the ambition and fairness of the climate action pledges (NDCs) put forward by countries in the context of the Paris Agreement. This update to the assessment was produced for and released at the 2017 Bonn climate summit (UNFCCC COP23) and focusses on how each country should increase its ambition in the context of the 2018 Talanoa (facilitative) Dialogue, in line with equity and the requirements of a 1.5°C-compliant global mitigation pathway.
