Elephant seal outer blubber protein sequences

Protein sequences identified by LC-MS/MS and PEAKS de novo sequencing from four outer blubber samples from juvenile northern elephant seals (Mirounga angustirostris). Tissue was lysed either using Qiazol (PHCL Method) or a standard detergent buffer (SDC Method; 1% w/v sodium deoxycholate, 8 M urea, 5 mM DTT in 50 mM ammonium bicarbonate). Details of protein isolation, LC-MS/MS, and PEAKS analysis will be provided in a manuscript currently in preparation.
