Mice were infused with AngII or saline for 2 wk and received daily i.p. injections of CSD or vehicle. Extracts were prepared as described in the previous figure legends. (A) RIPA extracts of LV and kidney tissues were used in Western blotting experiments with antibodies against caveolin-1 (cav-1), caveolin-3 (cav-3) and β-actin (loading control). (B) RIPA extracts of LV tissue and kidney tissues were used in Western blotting experiments with antibodies against μ-calpain (μ-Calp), m-calpain (m-Calp), and β-actin (loading control). No statistically significant effects of AngII or CSD were observed.
