... The concentration of E. coli ranged from 1.80E+05 - 2.40E+06 CFU/mL and exceeded recreational water quality criteria (RWQC) recommendations for protecting human health issued by EPA. The high concentration of E. coli can be caused by the entry of livestock and human fecal pollution. In general, the tendency of BOD and total bacteria along the river, further downstream, were increasing while the DO decreased which indicated an increase in organic matter. ...
