Rehabilitation is important following brain injury. However many patients do not receive adequate rehabilitation due to the services not affordable, available or accessible. Therefore, this study was conducted to understand the current state of rehabilitation services in Malaysia, and to explore the feasibility of a home-based virtual rehabilitation programme using active video game to complement the current services. The rehabilitation programme was conducted in children with brain injury. It was well received by the patients and their parents and the result is encouraging. The study demonstrated that the system is feasible and has potential to improve the rehabilitation services.
