This video demonstrates the "stopping" or "freezing" behaviour that the fruit fly (Drosophila melanogaster) does in the presence of some predators. In this case, after an unsuccessful attack from a zebra jumping spider (Salticus scenicus), the fly is motionless for an extended period of time.  Normally the fly would (even if not walking) be grooming.
