Dense overlay growth of an invasive plant species on a tree trunk

Peculiar dense growth of another plant species on a tree trunk was observed. In particular, no outgrowth of the small branches could be seen sprouting out from the trunk; thus, highlighting that the large amount of leaves and small branches that surround the mid-section of a tree trunk does not come from the tree itself. Photographs accompanying this preprint document the visual observation of dense growth of an invasive plant species on a tree trunk.
