Film images of Native Americans are mostly based on the theme of boundaries, which make us think about the body; on the one hand “overhuman”, able to cross all limits, on the other “inhuman”, belonging to the world of animals. Functioning as  Euroamerican fantasies they become an expression of collective anxieties. Based on works, which continue the trend such as Michael Mann’s “The Last of the Mohicans”, Mel Gibson’s “Apocalypto” or Terrence Malick’s “The New World”, the author of the
article shows how the stereotypes are breached in  modern independent cinema represented by Randy Redroada’s “The Doe Boy”.
