The field data were collected off the Yellow River Delta (Bohai Sea, China: 38°11'28.97''N, 118°50'18.46''E) in winter (Dec. 26, 2016), about 10 km off the shoreline with a mean water depth of 10 m. A bottom-mounted quadrapod equipped with a Nortek 6-MHz Acoustic Doppler Velocimeter (ADV) was deployed for velocity measurements. The ADV was set up to continuously measure near-bed (0.67 m above the seabed) velocity with sampling frequency of 16 Hz. Here, we attach a 10 minutes high frequency velocity measurments (Dec. 26, 2016, 6:00-6:10). These velocity measurements can be used to test how can we use Empirical Mode Decomposition method to calculate winds induced bottom wave orbital velocity.The dataset contains 10-mins measurements of horizontal velocities u and v, vertical velocity w and bottom pressure.
