The supine roll test after the aborted Appiani maneuver,
showed bilateral geotropic horizontal positional nystagmus, which was
predictably stronger on right side compared to the left, confirming conversion
to the geotropic variant. The geotropic horizontal positional nystagmus was not
seen at the first instance but on repeating a supine roll test on the right
side during the ongoing maneuver it was clearly seen.
