Overground walking with simulated reduced gravity
This project contains the original and processed data of 12 human subjects walking overground with a bodyweight support system.
Participants walked at 0.4, 0.8, 1.2, and 1.6 m/s and in 1, 0.76, 0.55, and 0.31 G (0%, 24%, 45%, and 69% bodyweight support). Additional conditions were recorded at 1.2 m/s with ankle weights (denoted as "1p2_W").
Data recorded were: Ground reaction force @ 1000 Hz, Motion capture of the legs and pelvis @ 100 Hz, muscle activity of the right leg (tibialis anterior, soleus, medial gastrocnemius, lateral gastrocnemius, rectus femoris, vastus medialis, vastus lateralis, and biceps femoris) @ 1000 Hz, and load cell data of force supplied by the bodyweight support system @ 1000 Hz.
Data are stored in Matlab structure files. Participants are named with 5 letter codenames. Details on the bodyweight support system are in "MacLean & Ferris, J. Med. Devices. 2020).
Quasi-stiffness data were added on 20th July 2022. Quasi-stiffness (K), R2, and duration values were reported on the indivudal and group averaged levels.
