There were two unequal flagella around the feeding cells. The insertion sites of the two flagellae (af and pf) were separated by a protrusion at the anterior of the cell (c). (A) The figure of Pseudobodo sp. KD51 within the lysate of C.vulgaris under lower magnification. (B) and (C) were the magnified image of part in (A), the pf was missing (C) as the reason of sample preparation.The abbreviations: af–anterior flagellum, pf–posterior flagellum, c– cell.
