Predictive performance of the six variable selection methods.

Asymptotic analysis of the metric AUC was used to evaluate the predictive performance of the six variable selection methods when sample size gradually increased from 50 to 500 when the total number of predictors t = 100. Variable selection methods: stepwise, stability selection, LASSO, Bolasso, two-stage hybrid and bootstrap ranking procedures.
