Proteomic analysis of lung cancer xenograft tumors treated with citreoviridin indicated that differentially expressed proteins were involved in gluconeogenesis and the conversion of glucose to other compounds. The activation of these pathways may decrease glycolysis and thus cause the inhibition of cell proliferation and tumor growth.
