This is the final version of my Major Research Essay for a MA in Public History at Carleton University in Ottawa, Ontario. It re-examines the Centenary of the War of 1812, or "Brock Centenary," through a social network analysis of the role of women in the executives of historical and patriotic organizations around the turn of the twentieth century in Ontario. The database is collected from archival documents and this along with relevant data sets used for the social network analysis through Gephi are provided here.
