Genome size versus percent repetitive of 66 vertebrate genomes

The percentage coverage of repetitive elements in 66 vertebrate genomes and their respective genome sizes. The human genome is highlighted in red. Coverage was calculated on the total region annotated as repetitive by RepeatMasker. RepeatMasker annotations were downloaded from the UCSC Genome Browser for each respective genome.
