D2O Adapted Yeast Grown on Solid Media
Description
Attached is an image of wt yeast and D2O adapted yeast grown on YPD agar made with 99.9% D2O. The yeast was incubated for 24 hours at 30C. Notice that the wild type yeast exhibits almost no growth in 24 hours. The D2O adapted yeast was adapted from wt yeast over a period of 48 days in liquid YPD made with 99.9% D2O instead of DI water.
