Movie clip of a shear modulus map obtained from ultrasound shear wave elastography, overlaid with standard ultrasound B-Mode during intercostal scanning of the diaphragm in a mechanically ventilated patient. The temporal changes in esophageal pressure, gastric pressure, transdiaphragmatic pressure, and diaphragm shear modulus during pressure support ventilation are also presented. This patient, with a breathing frequency of 12 breaths/min, showed a significant correlation (r = 0.81, p = 0.002) between changes in transdiaphragmatic pressure (ΔPdi) and changes in diaphragm shear modulus (ΔSMdi).
