Electron tomography dataset of a serial sectioned Trichoplax haplotype H2 fiber cell

A Hawaiian Trichoplax haplotype H2 was high pressure frozen, embedded in epoxy resin, serial sectioned (300nm thickness), stained with uranyl acetate and lead citrate and gold particles applied to each side of the section.
On eight consecutive sections, the same fiber cell was recorded using electron tomography.
The reconstructed volumes were aligned with each other using a rigid alignment in FIJI.
