Burkholderia multivorans evolution within cystic fibrosis patient

This represents the first retrospective study of the genomic and phenotypic evolution of longitudinally collected Burkholderia multivorans. Aiming to understand the evolutionary adaptation of B. multivorans in the CF host environment and to identify genetic mutations possibly leading to phenotypic variation, we sequenced and analyzed the genomes of the 22 isolates. Reads were aligned to the reference genome of B. multivorans D2095 (VC13401) using bwa-mem and novoalign.
